The Ambassador information is online for the 2024-2025 school year.  In order to be considered an Ambassador, students must completely fill out the online application and turn in practice charts from the summer. Students must also receive a written recommendation from their school orchestra teacher, private teacher, and parent.  Incomplete applications will NOT be considered for Ambassadors.  

Online applications are due by midnight on September 15th, 2024. No late applications will be accepted. Students who submit COMPLETED applications and summer practice chart ON TIME will be notified shortly thereafter if they will be invited for an in-person sight reading audition. (Only 40 students will be accepted due to space limitations).

 2024-2025 Ambassador Requirements

• Student must be in 5th or 6th grade and in their 2nd year of MWSA.

• Students can participate in the Ambassador group one year only.

• Student must take private lessons during summer as well as the entire school year.

• Student must practice regularly over the summer and record practice minutes on a calendar to turn in with Ambassador application.

• Student must commit to attend all rehearsals and concerts for the 2024-2025 school year.  Only 1 absence allowed.

• Ambassadors rehearse about every other Friday afternoon from 4:30 - 5:30 pm

• Ambassadors perform at all three December concerts as well as all three May Concerts.

• Ambassador trip will be scheduled in February or March.

• Cost is $25/year to help with bussing & meal during trip (scholarships are available).
