Instrument Repair Costs

Instruments are rented to you in maintained working order. It is your responsibility to replace broken strings and pay for any damages incurred, beyond the normal wear of the instrument, while in your care. 

Instruments that are damaged and/or needing repair must be reported immediately. Call/text the number on the yellow or red tag. All maintenance/repairs must go through our shop.

Most common repairs estimated costs:

Strings: Violin $4-7 Viola $6-10 Cello $12-17 Bass $19-28

Bridge replacement: Violin $40 Viola $45 Cello $65 Bass $110

Reset sound post: All instruments $15

Chunks/chips: All instruments start at $25 & go up depending on severity

Cracks: All instruments start at $20 & go up depending on severity

Damaged pegs: All instruments $15 per peg

Chin rest replacement: Violin/Viola $15

Endpin repair: Cello $25 & up Bass $30 & up

Fingerboard reglue: All instruments $30
